The Ceramic Firing Process

The first firing goes up to 1950° F 🔥 and is called a bisque fire. Pieces are referred to bisqueware at this stage.

The second firing goes up all the way to 2160°-2200° F 🔥🔥 and is called a glaze fire. Most pieces are completed at the end of this stage.

Any piece that has real gold, silver accents or an iridescent pearl finish is fired a third time, up to 1281° F. 🔥
